Darryl Tolliver Jr. has been teaching in the public and private sector for over 10 years. He's been a camp councilor and coach for SMI Summer Music Institute at the University of Texas at San Antonio and  at the Sequoia Chamber Music Workshop in Humboldt State University in Humboldt, California as a Theory Teacher. He served as an assistant in the University of Incarnate Word Improvisation Workshop in 2013.

He is an experienced orchestral player who has performed with the San Antonio Mozart Festival Orchestra, San Angelo Symphony and other regional orchestras.

Besides playing viola (primary instrument), he is an experienced violinist and cellist having taught beginners through Northside ISD's Fifth Grade Strings Program and the UTSA String Project, and intermediate to advance students within YOSA (Youth Orchestras of San Antonio).
